Five years ago, the billionaire-owned media replaced their Brexit propaganda war with a 24/7 propaganda war against ANY action to protect the stable climate our food supply depends on.

A new minor energy-efficiency regulation that merely requires all electric towel rails to have a timer led to their lurid, scary headline “THEY ARE AFTER YOUR HEATED TOWEL RAIL “ !!
They, of course, only included oil-billionaire-funded Reform & a Tory “spokesperson” shouting this is “SOVIET LEVEL INTRUSION” and “ORWELLIAN UTTER MADNESS”.
Elderly Widow’s Huge Electricity Bill
Some years ago, in my work as an eco-auditor, an elderly widow in Winchester contacted me over her huge electricity bill.
When I visited, I found she had an electric towel rail on in both bathrooms.
I asked her why?
She said she liked to keep her towels “aired.”
I did the calculations and found she was spending over £3,000/annum on keeping the 2 towel rails on 24/7!!
The Israeli terrorist war on Iran is forcing up electricity prices from July 1st to 26p/kwh.
This means that an 800-watt electric towel rail will cost £1,824 a year to run 24/7.
The widow’s 2 towel rails would now cost £3,649 / annum or £1,824 if she cut it down to 6 months / year!
If you have to have a towel rail (I do not!), having a timer, set for one hour / day for 6 months of the year, would cut the running cost of one towel rail down to just £38/year!
Ed Miliband in requiring that the 50% of towel rails that currently do not have timers have to have them in future is a totally sensible small energy-efficiency step the government should be taking.
Currently, if a manufacturer scrimps on the minor additional cost of including a timer, the consumer can end up wasting a fortune over its lifetime.
Requiring a timer brings us in line with sensible EU regulations.
Billionaire Media War on Climate Protection
But this is a tiny example of the daily 24/7 flood of billionaire-owned media’s war on our climate.
They are literally propagandising in favour of the destruction of our civilisation.
You cannot run a civilisation if the stable climate your food production depends on is destroyed.
It is time to end media billionairism, before it ends ALL of us!
It is time to take back control.
