Household Electricity Price Rise
The UK energy regulator Ofgem announced a 4% rise in electricity prices from October.
The energy price rise was caused by another spike in fossil fuel prices, caused by the zionist war on Iran, to stop it interfering in the colonial genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
A colonial genocide promoted and backed by the billionaire media.
Who Did They Blame?
So, who did the billionaire media blame?
The colonial regime in occupied Palestine? No.
The billionaire profiteering oil industry? No.
Nope. Of course, they blamed their current bogey-man — Britain’s clean renewable energy!
The billionaire owned Times, Sun, Telegraph, GB News, Talk TV etc all pumped out screaming headlines lying that cleaner cheaper renewable energy was the cause for the rise in electricity bills.
The Truth: Clean Energy is Cheaper
They ignored the fact that £600 of costs on our household electricity bills are from the Tory privatisation profit levy, and that all of the current cost inflation comes from the fact we still burn fossil gas for 27% of our national grid supply.
They ignored the actual truth about new clean renewables requiring zero subsidy from households since 2017.
And they ignored that wind power has already lowered UK power prices by nearly a third.
Average “day ahead” electricity prices in 2025 were about £83/MWh, but without wind generation it is estimated that prices would have been £121/MWh.
This £38/MWh saving represents a 31% reduction on the no-wind price. (ECIU, 2026)
UK renewables are saving us £billions in cut imported gas costs during the current zionist war on Iran crisis.
The Climate Change Committee estimates that every oil price shock from Russian or Zionist wars in the Middle East costs the UK economy over £100 billion each time.
UK households will be again paying the genocidal war price from October on their electricity bills.
But our billionaire-captured media continues to promote both climate genocide and the genocide of Palestinians.
Time to End Media Billionairism for Good
It is time to end their genocidal capture of our democracy.
It is time to ban foreign and domestic billionaires from owning our papers.
It is time the British people stopped paying the price for the billionaire media capture of our politicians.
It is time Palestinians were not murdered any longer by our billionaire media’s zionist war-mongering.
